The SBD Dauntless is a reconnaissance bomber developed by Douglas of the United States and operated by the U.S. military during World War II. "Dauntless" means "fearless, brave, patient, indomitable." It was also manufactured for the U.S. Army, and officially adopted as the A-24 Banshee. The SBD-3 has a 12.7mm double gun on the nose, is equipped with a bulletproof tank and steel plate, and has a light R-1820-52 (1000hp) engine.
