The Su-9's air intake cone is equipped with a simple "Ra" interception radar system to guide the four radar-guided K-5 (AA-1 "alkali") air-to-air missiles under the wing However, like all radar beam-guided air-to-air missiles at the time, the K-5 was difficult to play in air combat. Unlike the Su-7 and later Su-15, the Su-9 is not equipped with a cannon, and the two pylons under the fuselage are used to carry the auxiliary fuel tank.
The kit consists of over 110 parts ,includes 2 clear parts
- fuselage&wing with finely engraved panel lines
Plastic model kit, assembly required. Glue, paint and finishing supplies not included.
