Trumpeter 1/350 HMS Eskimo Destroyer 1941 05331

The Eskimo, a British destroyer tribe, began construction on August 5, 1936. It was launched on September 3, 1937, and served on December 30, 1938.
The Eskimo participated in the second Battle of Narvik in April 1940. In November 1942, it supported the Allied forces to land in North Africa and serve in the Tenth Destroyer. On June 22, 1944, north of the British Channel, Brest, with the assistance of the Canadian Navy destroyer Haida and a Czech Air Force liberator bomber, the German Navy U-971 submarine was sunk.
In the last days of the war, the Eskimo served in the Far East. For most of the spring of 1945, she was ordered to clear the Japanese army in Myanmar. Soon the Eskimo and another tribal destroyer joined the fleet to destroy the remnants of the Japanese waters.
In 1946, after a series of missions at home, the Eskimo was sold and dismantled on June 27, 1949.
