The Tiger I was a heavy duty armored tank tha could demolish almost everything in its path, but was one of the most expensive to produce. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eSheer numbers alone, the Sherman Tank outnumbered the Tiger I significantly with only 1,347 of the Tiger I being produced and over 49,000 of Sherman variants. The guns couldn't penetrate the thick armor of the Tiger I leaving them mostly unbothered, until the British upgraded the Sherman with a QF 17-pounder anti-tank gun early in 1944, to create the Firefly.
