The Unryu was originally built during WWII to add to the Imperial Japanese Navy's aircraft carrier fleet. She was commissioned mid-1944 and later sunk by sunk by the USS Redfish submarine in December of the same year. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eFujimi felt that the flight deck was a weak point of previous models of the Unryu, so they've created a new mold for it to make it more historically accurate than ever, with an eye ring for airplane locking, a ship haulage bracket, and other small details. The kit comes with decals to recreate the camo design on the flight deck, as well as four types of ship-loaded aircraft owned by the 601st Naval Air Group.
