FineMolds 1/72 Japnaese JASDF F-15J Fighter J-MSIP (Modernized Upgrade) FP51

Plastic model kit, assembly required. Glue, paint and finishing supplies not included.

As of 2023, about 200 of the F-15J, the main fighter aircraft of the Japan Air Self-Defense Force, have been deployed in nine squadrons nationwide. In addition to the excellence of its basic design, taking advantage of the high scalability, the modernization of electronic equipment such as radar and on-board equipment has been promoted as MSIP (Multi-Stage Improvement Program) in the United States since 1983. However, the JASDF's F-15J has also been upgraded in stages as a modernized repair machine known as "J-MSIP," including Japan's own repairs, and even now, nearly 40 years after its introduction, it is still Japan's main fighting aircraft.

At the same time as the "Hot Scramble 1984" that reproduces the aircraft's form at its initial deployment, the modernization specification that is the current specification is made into a kit by Fine Molds. The differences such as the exhaust nozzle without an iris cover and various antennas of the current F-15 are delicately made into parts. Decals are included for the 201st Squadron (Chitose Base, Hokkaido), the 204th Squadron (Naha Base, Okinawa Prefecture), and the 306th Squadron (Komatsu Base, Ishikawa Prefecture).
