There are 111 Wickes destroyers that took part in 2 World Wars which were developed based on the Caldwell class.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe Wickes class destroyer, USS Ward DD-139 was launched on May 24, 1918, but didn't have any chances to perform in WWI. When WWII burst out, large amounts of ships were recommissioned, including the USS Ward DD-139 on January 15th 1941. This model represents her status during the period of the attack on Pearl Harbor on July 7th 1941, where she sank a Japanese midget submarine.
