Built in 1978 by Pacific Car & Foundry for Railbox, this 50’ boxcar was placed into Railbox series 20400-20899, and belonged to class XCF11A. A subsidiary of TTX, Railbox was founded in 1974 to address a nationwide boxcar shortage by creating a large pool of free-running boxcars seen from coast to coast.
