Based upon the road car Celica Liftback, the car featured aerodynamic components such as bulging over fenders and rear wing and employed numerous FRP body panels. An extensively modified body and 2,090cc, 560hp inline-4 DOHC turbo engine were utilized. This car made its debut in July 1977, and in October of the same year, it beat the Porsche 935, achieving its maiden victory.\u003cbr\u003e• 1\/24 scale plastic model assembly kit.
