The product, also known as The Army Painter Green Stuff, is composed of a yellow filler and a blue hardener that, when mixed in equal parts, become a tacky, green modeling clay.
Customizable hardness: By altering the ratio, you can adjust the putty's properties.
More yellow: Creates a softer, more pliable putty that is ideal for intricate details like hair or sculpting cloth.
More blue: Results in a harder, less sticky, and faster-curing putty, which is better for creating sharp corners and durable joints.
Drying and curing: It has a flexible working time of 20–30 minutes, allowing you to shape your creation before it becomes too stiff. The putty will be fully dry and ready for sanding or painting within 8 hours, and completely cures within 24 hours.
Sticky texture: Green Stuff can be very sticky, so it is recommended to wet your fingers and tools with water to prevent the putty from sticking to them.
Common uses
Sculpting and converting miniatures: Create new accessories, features, or entire miniatures from scratch.
Filling gaps and mold lines: Smooth out unsightly mold lines and fill any gaps or seams on your models.
Strengthening joints: Reinforce weak or difficult-to-glue joints on larger miniatures.
Attaching parts: Use it with super glue to bond together large, heavy metal components.
How to use
Cut the putty: Using a hobby knife, cut equal parts of the yellow filler and blue hardener from the strip.
Mix the components: Knead the yellow and blue parts together with your fingers until you have a uniformly green color.
Shape and sculpt: Use sculpting tools to shape the putty on your model. Keep your fingers and tools wet with water to prevent sticking.
Allow to cure: Let the finished sculpt dry for up to 24 hours to fully cure and achieve maximum hardness
